Q What is ""The Ostrich"?

 

A  The Ostrich is a Scottish online comedy news website created by me (Sean Murdo Dunlop) in 2015. The webiste was created as part of my graded unit project for college. 

 

Q  Why did you decide to create this website?

 

A  There are a mulitude of reasons I decided to create this website. Firstly,I have always been interested in writing, particularly scriptwring and I've had the idea of creating a comedy news website for a while and the graded unit project has given me an opportunity to do so. Secondly, I wanted to entertain people and (hopefully) generate a wee laugh!

 

Q  Why "The Ostrich"?

 

A  ‘The Ostrich’ just seemed perfect for the website.  I thought it was a good name as it is memorable and catchy. Also, it relates to the myth that ostriches bury their head in the sand which could be seen as a metaphor for what my website does;  forget about the sadness and the horrors of the real world and have some fun for a while.
